The contrast between “before” and “after” is especially clear with a dry deck fountain. Before the Cagliari, Italy, project was switched on, the photographs show a broad patterned surface with water outlets set into the ground. The fountain layout is there, but the water effect is still to come.
Sews Fountain's engineer visited the site to help with installation and commissioning. In the work-stage images, the area includes hoses, tools and team members checking the setup. These are useful details for anyone planning a project: the finished display depends on work done on the ground before the jets appear in a photograph.
Then the water test changes the scene. Multiple jets rise at different points across the paved area, giving the surface movement and a much clearer sense of the fountain layout. The preparation clip on this page shows the site before the water test. Separate updates in this series show the jets running during the day and after dark.
The installation and on-site commissioning work in Cagliari concluded successfully. This update follows one real project through its visible stages and is part of our Cagliari project series.
